Frequently Asked Questions

Some of the common queries and issues charities have with the Google Ad Grants program policies.

How Can Fix Issues With My Account?

The best thing to do is visit the Google Ad Grants Troubleshooter and enter the issues that you are having. The troubleshooter will then direct you to a guide for how to fix the issue.

How Can I Improve My Account?

From within the Google Ads interface you will be notified of a number of potential improvements. This is measured by a Google metric known as your Optimisation Score. It is generally best practice to aim to improve this percentage as much as possible but bear in mind that these suggestions are generated by a machine learning algorithm so will not necessarily improve your campaign performance.

Another useful resource is the “Ad Grants Account Review Dashboard”. A link to this dashboard, should be provided to you via email if your account has either been rejected or approved. If you are still waiting for a response on your application you will not have been provided access to the dashboard.
